Project Complete

Hello Friends and Family,

My summer internship is quickly coming to a close. This coming Friday July 30^th is my last day. Last week was very busy for me. I concluded one of my projects last week. I was given the task of putting together and organizing a NAMIC Lunch -n- Learn for some of the employees here. NAMIC stands for National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications. I worked with a person form MTV and BET Networks, as well as a person from NBC Universal. What we did was we got about five directors from different departments in the company. They all had a specific topic to speak about and discuss at a table of about 4 or 5 people. They would discuss this topic for 15 to 20 minutes and then the directors would switch tables and speak about their same topic with different people. The event was a success. I was given many compliments on how the room was set up and how easily everything flowed. I was very pleased with the event and was proud of myself for completing this task. The rest of my week was spent getting everything ready for my big and final project for the summer. The Community Fair that I have been planning from day one of this summer. I have about 15 vendors coming to show their services and give free gifts to the employees here. I am getting very excited this event will take place this coming Thursday.

I also had some fun this past weekend. I went up to Marion, NC to see two of

my teammates from Montreat and my roommate from Western Carolina University, who was instrumental in helping me get to Montreat. My teammates that I hung out with are Dustin Harris and Cameron Hayes, Jennings Vess was my roommate at WCU. It was great to see them and catch up on what we have been up to this summer. I went to Church with Dustin and I always have a good time of Fellowship when I go to church with him.

I am looking forward to going back to CO Springs, CO at the end of this week. I will get a chance to spend some time with my family before school starts.
