Go Where You Are Celebrated, Not Where You Are Tolerated

As many of you know I attended and played basketball at Western Carolina University last year. It was a pretty good experience playing on the Division 1 level. However there were times that I did not feel accepted among my basketball family there. The school academically wise was great and I enjoyed but I was not sure if I would continue my basketball career. Prior to this my roommate at Western had friends who played basketball for Montreat College. WE had hung out with them many times and I was getting to know them pretty well.

To make a long story short I had been praying about not playing basketball anymore altogether because I was not happy with the way I was treated at Western. But a change in Coaching at Montreat gave me an opportunity to possibly play there. I went there to play a few times over the summer and the coaches liked what they saw. Maybe about a month and a half later I signed with Montreat College.

You know the bible says in Matthew 10:14 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Montreat will be a great fit for me. Not only will I be participating in basketball, but I will also be getting an education that is biblical. In my first semester there I will be taking an Old Testament course. I am really excited about this upcoming year.
